WHY I BUILT IT

This is the first machine I built. I grew up with MiniDisc: picking songs, recording them, deciding what to listen to in the car. Streaming is convenient, but that time spent choosing is gone. So I brought the constraint along with it, 32 MB on a cartridge, and rebuilt the act of choosing rather than the medium. It runs on a Game Boy Advance SP because that is the handheld I held the most. Anything else would have felt like a lie.

HOW TO USE

Hold SELECTflip the tape (side A ⇄ B)
Hold L / Rrewind / fast-forward (real deck noise)
The tape stops at the end of a side. Flip it.
